Cryogenic Storage Tanks

Insulated pressure vessels for storing liquid gases at very low temperatures.

Cryogenic Tanks

Cryogenic storage tanks are specially insulated pressurized vessels designed for the safe storage of liquefied gases (such as LNG, LCO₂, O₂, N₂, Ar) at extremely low temperatures. Operating at temperatures as low as -196°C, these tanks provide maximum safety with minimal heat loss thanks to their double-walled construction and vacuum insulation systems. They are widely used in sectors such as energy, medical, industrial, and food, and are manufactured in accordance with relevant international standards (EN 13458, ASME, etc.).

General Features

  • Tanks are designed and manufactured to meet the requirements for safe, easy-to-use, and economical operation for all types and applications.
  • Tanks can be designed for standard operating pressures and for different operating pressures according to customer requirements.
  • Transport tanks are manufactured in accordance with the EC directive, EN standards, and ADR. All models are offered as π-branded customers. They can also be designed according to other national standards and customer requirements.
  • Storage tanks are manufactured in accordance with the EC directive and EN standards. They can be designed according to other national standards or customer requirements.
  • Transport tanks undergo qualified braking and rollover stability performance tests.
  • The center of gravity of transport tanks is reduced to provide excellent stability and enhanced grip.
  • The support legs of storage tanks are calculated according to Eurocode standards for high wind and earthquake loads.
  • Installation costs are minimized thanks to lifting covers that are appropriately designed and positioned on storage tanks.
  • Stainless steel compliant with the EN 10028-7 standard and carbon steel compliant with the EN 10025 standard are used in the inner tank.
  • Tanks are equipped with sturdy internal supports to withstand stress and loads during transport.
  • Steel pipes, stainless steel pipes, valves, and equipment provided by world-leading companies in their field create safe and durable products.
  • The most suitable elbows are used in stainless steel pipe installations to minimize the potential risk of leakage and ensure high performance throughout the system’s operating life.
  • The valve outlets, lifting poles, and other accessories on the tank are ergonomically designed with safety, ease of use, maintenance, and operational convenience in mind.
  • Storage tanks are equipped with a recovery cycle to prevent gas waste by directing the boiled gas to the main system.
  • Pressure adjustments in storage tanks are very easy with the mono-block pressure economizer-regulator, and the system is extremely safe.
  • Tanks and equipment are cleaned with oxygen.
